Who knows of a good electrician? OK, OK, just an electrician?

Opportunity: “Own” Google searches for emergency services

The electrical system in my apartment is failing miserably - likely due to the increased load of the air conditioning system. I needed an electrician - so I asked Google to find a “electrician bun Bucuresti” (good electrician in Bucharest). Front page results were a chorus asking the same question - from car tuners to computer gamers, the quest for a good electrician unites us all.

As Laura posted earlier about plumbers, this is a tremendous opportunity for a small firm that delivers services people need in an emergency. Young professionals don’t usually have friends who care to improvise electrical repairs. Many wouldn’t trust a neighbor, either, in spite of Zoso’s suggestion (see screenprint). However, creating an online professional presence, perhaps linking to endorsements from happy clients posting on forums and blogs, is likely to attract a large base of well-paying clients.

mzzz: it’s all very well that I can find an electrician on anuntul.ro. In fact, that’s how I called an electrician just today. But to be honest, I myself could advertise as an electrician there; I’m afraid that most of those people are either incompetent or dishonest - or both. The only way I can find out is by testing them out myself.
