What women want online… Reloaded
Preliminary research results
I wrote some time ago about the market study exclusively addressed to women and their preferences and behavior while shopping online. I found out about the partial results from Madalin and E Invest Marketing and I’m willing to share them with you. The final results will be made public - most likely - in January 2008, while the prizes will be announced on Christmas Eve.
Some information that could be found useful for the potential investors in online shops for women:
- 1,421 respondents (women), of which 92% from urban areas
- 72% of the respondents in the urban areas have already purchased something online
- the 18-35 age segment proved to be the most active in e-shopping
- women are willing to buy clothes online (96% of the respondent women in the urban areas)
- the returning policy is extremely important
- the most important two factors that build women’s confidence in an online store are the full contact details, and the confidentiality policies
