There is no place to hide…
Last year I gave a talk to the Volunteer In Projects (VIP) group at Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest about the convergence of ethics and strategy. In short… that as you view your business with a longer time horizon… the incentives for ethical behavior grow. I also stated that the world-wide explosion in inter-connectivity has made it increasingly difficult for corporations (or anybody for that matter) to say one thing and do another.

That is where some firms who could previously get away with shabby products and service are now being exposed for what they are in a world of growing legions of dedicated internet users willing to let their opinions be heard by others.

Romania is clearly ready for a consumer backlash and migration to quality as one’s consumer experience with a good, great, bad or awful product or service becomes ever easier to disseminate.
