Smarter Search and Greener Markets

At SOPOLEC we just announced a partnership formed with The Recognos Group of San Francisco and Cluj. They are a very smart software development firm with a consistent pipeline of successful technologies. This partnership will start with the creation of an electronic marketplace with Web 2.0 functionality for products, services and information related to the next generation of construction of real estate development -also known as “Green Building” or “Sustainable Construction”.
To prepare this portal for rapidly emerging WEB 3.0 capabilities (see Semantic WEB), the site will incorporate automated semantic description and superior classification of technical and other information for Green Building, Clean Technology, Sustainable Development, and related topics. The soon-to-arrive Semantic Search Engines (see Twine; still in Beta) will be able to access the information more easily and provide more relevant and useful search results than current engines.
So what will a WEB 3.0-ready e-marketplace mean for other businessIDEAS related to Green Building?
If you have a product or service to promote - particularly if it requires a large amount of technical details - you will be able to submit this information where it is read automatically by software and its content prepared for better searching as the concepts, terms, and relationships within the given domain (Green Building) have been pre-defined via user friendly tools and behind-the-scenes technology. In short, better search capabilities benefits your clients, partners, and suppliers when trying to do things such as check new building standards and source, integrate, and install the complex technologies the future of building will bring.
One information vendor Anca wrote about could be a beneficiary. More information to come!
