Opportunity: Build demo houses for customers to try before ordering
Sonnenplatz built a small village in Austria with 5-6 houses with different designs of low-energy usage / highly insulated / passive houses. Now they offer hotel services for families that intend to commission a house. People can rent a house for a couple of days, then rent another, until they find the model that suits their needs best.
At last year’s BIFE-TIMB (woodworking and furniture fair), the main attraction was a prefabricated wood house that people could visit on the premises. As more Romanian families build vacation homes, prefabricated house suppliers move into the market… the ‘tryvertising’ model of renting time in sample houses could prove to be a great way to attract customers.
