Many Romanian companies are changing their headquarters (there are plenty of new A-class offices buildings) and they do not know what to do with their old furniture. Most used office furniture pieces have only been used for a few years and have minimal wear and tear.

At the same time new small businesses are being created at a rapid rate. Entrepreneurs are always looking for ways to save money. The prices of new office furniture might be prohibitive for a new business, but, furniture is a must! Modular office furniture, computer desks, reception area sofas, conference tables… The primary goal of office furniture is to be comfortable enough to keep employees content – yet not so luxurious that they fall asleep! So, if the business is willing to accept not having the latest furniture fashions , they will be willing customers of an alternative solution.

The obvious solution would be second-hand furniture stores. However, while some stores import second hand furniture from abroad, none of them offers good options for office furniture.

This is a great opportunity for a low-investment business: taking photos of the old office furniture a few months before the company moves to new offices, posting it on an on-line gallery along with information about price, the data at which it becomes available, time of use, dimensions, and, perhaps, a rating scale so that the buyer can have an image about the furniture’s status. Prospectives buyers will contact the seller directly to close the deal and take the furniture away to a new home.
