Providing alternative energy services

Opportunity: Highly professional alternative energy services

Romania has become a formal partner of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) on October 27, 2006. This international public-private partnership promotes policies and regulations in support of renewable energy and energy efficiency. By joining forces with REEEP, Romania intends to contribute to the development of regional policies and looks forward to lowering greenhouse gas emissions.

The official position sounds very ambitious, but unfortunately at the moment there is no power to achieve these objectives. Alternative energy is delivered by too few companies. Although some exist, and one would expect them to perform efficient work, they don’t have the maturity to create a complex solution for their potential customers.

Although some investors have the necessary financing for large projects, their interactions with this industry in Romania are dissapointing - virtually none of the firms answer calls for offers per specifications; there is a lack of knowledge in designing large-scale installations, and response time is exceedingly long. These are large companies trying to reach the best energy solutions for their own headquarters or for apartment buildings they will rent or sell.
The opportunity is for companies who offer the full spectrum of alternative energy project management, with experts to assist the clients with planning, scheduling, procurement, logistics, construction supervision, commissioning, acceptance testing and as-built documentation, ensuring a smooth, well executed energy project from start to finish!
