Organic canned products - part 2

Opportunity: introducing professional organic canned food to Romania

On a previous post I was talking about organic canned products and pointed out the recipe for watermelon jam. Recently my family had a family of close friends join us for dinner, and they really enjoyed my mothers “sweet” pickles, also known as the “Bulgarian recipe” for pickles. In winter these canned products substitute for fresh salads in the summer, which creates a great demand for them. This is another product that enjoys domestic familiarity that could be added as an extension of a brand’s product range or could be branded under profitable private label in supermarkets.

Ensure public awareness through strong marketing of organic canned products and show people that you have created an alternative for all the long hours spent in the kitchen each autumn. Combined this with the tremendous popularity and profitability of private labels in the U.S. and other European markets… I think this is a great opportunity that canned products producers should look into and try to expand, don’t you think?

Nice idea! And I am always thinking about ways to advertise such products. What do you think about delivering canned products as gifts? Here is where I found the idea: http://www.mounthosmerjam.com
