Need a personal assistant? Ask Sunday…
Opportunity: Outsourcing solution for small businesses and individuals
I found out a
bout the Time magazine’s top 10 websites via Manafu. What I considered really interesting was the no. 2 on their list, AskSunday.com, a subscription based website dedicated to simplifying their members’ lives by providing 24/7 assistance with solving nearly any task: from scheduling a dentist’s appointment to booking hotel rooms to making wake-up calls even if you are somewhere abroad. For more complex tasks, the Sunday Projects service is available, where the Sunday Projects team provides dedicated resources to quickly and effectively complete short/long-term projects. It is the only hybrid onshore/offshore outsourcing solution for small businesses and individuals.
Who can ask Sunday? Well, pretty much everyone who thinks I don’t have time to do all these booking and calls. And I have this huge list of gifts to buy. I wish I had a personal assistant! A virtual assistant service could be extremely useful to those who need a bit of help in organizing their activities, to sort through their hectic schedules and simply make their life a little smoother.
What about Romania? Well, students always need help in researching for their graduation papers (I know I would have used someone to make some calls for me), and smaller businesses might need, for instance, some surveying or financial related research.
One can start a simple service, or can extend the simple virtual secretary model to more complex tasks (e.g. Sunday projects). Either way, the business has to provide the necessary flexibility to get the work done when and how the client needs it in a cost efficient way. The investment requires dedicated resources, as well as proper telecommunications infrastructure to ensure the high-quality communication with the client.
What do you think? Would it work in .ro?

hi,
i have a trading company in bucharest. i like the idea of an online ‘personal assistant’ and was considering, like you whether something similar would work in Romania. I think so - maybe one could target other EU countries apart from the US & UK.
Just stumbled on your blog today - think it is a really good idea. all the best with future ideas, incubations and start-ups !

Hello,
I think there are such services in Romania alrady. I remember reading a few years ago about Angels. Its a global company whom had at the time entered Romania. I tried to find something on google on the subject but did not spend much time investigating. Try looking, you will find them.

A virtual assistant can do many of the administrative and time-consuming tasks in the company and the company can simply enjoy the outputs.
