Missing Marmite?

Opportunity: Specialized online retail
While in the *cough* restroom of the newly-opened Amigos Mexican restaurant in Bucharest, I noticed a poster advertising ExpatShop.ro - a very simple concept that delivers products that UK expats might miss while living in Romania.
- Focusing on a very clear, well-defined need.
- The advantage of word-of-mouth advertising, as expats usually know many other expats and, if they’re happy with the products and services, will talk about the shop with others.
- Advertising in the restrooms of a newly-opened restaurant that’s generating a lot of buzz is low-cost and effective.
The UK expat niche is taken, but what about products for expats from other countries?

You can buy Romanian specialties like zacusca, piftie, special gems, pork specialties etc. from the supermarkets as well but they are not good quality. So, the main challenge would be to find a very good producer and why not, to create a good renowned brand. They could also offer catering services for the clients that want to order ready made food. I am pretty sure that they would be overwhelmed with order especially around Romanian traditional Hollidays. [...]
