Opportunity: Cafe + photocopy center near student campuses

I’ve been listening to 20 business plans per hour for the past week. I led a class in Business Communication at ASE, and the final requirement is for my students to create and pitch a business plan and to obtain my *fictitious* financing. Sad to say, despite the fact that I’ve pointed them to this blog and to Springwise at the beginning of the semester, most of the business plans were incredibly unimaginative: another pizzeria, another carwash, another site design service…

One idea that I liked: opening a photocopy center near a student college campus that also includes a cafe. You leave your order and go enjoy coffee with friends until the coursework is copied… after which you can pretend to study. Great additional source of revenue for the low-margin photocopy shop, great magnet for the cafe. Better is if, after working all night on a paper, you can also email it to be printed out, and pick it up along with a cup of coffee to wake you up.
