Give me a makeup artist

Opportunity: Create a great customer experience in your shop

Purchasing makeup in Romanian shops is quite a bewildering experience… The salespeople hardly know their products, and you are left to find your own way through the maze. It is true, Romanian women love makeup and are probably determined enough to find what they want anyway… but the fact that catalogue and distributor retailers such as Avon are doing so well shows that traditional retailers are probably missing out on something.
Maybe what is missing the the added value of a makeup artist who can offer you a courtesy makeover on the spot, selecting the best shades and colours for your complexion. This is widely done in cosmetics shops around the world. Transforming the salesperson into a consultant is a great way to offer some added value to your clients, persuading them to purchase a much larger selection than they had originally intended and to recommend you to friends.

If you know of any shops around Bucharest that offer this type of services - let me know in the comments!

Hm… Let me think… I know that some time ago, there were some makeup specialists offering consultance, advising on the right shades to use, and even a makup on the spot. I think it was in Carrefour Orhideea, at the Beauty Shop there… however, the last time I went there, I only met a grumpy salesperson…
