Fruit kiosks - for healthy people on the run

Opportunity: Kiosks selling washed ad ready-to-eat fruit
The reason why I consider this an opportunity is that there are more and more health-conscious people in Romania’s big cities. These people would rather eat a healthy snack on their way to a meeting or in a station, than the usual donuts/muffins found in most food kiosks, but need convience.
What is needed is kiosks that sells pre-cut, ready-to-eat fruit. For instance, many would like to buy and eat an apple on their way to work, and they would really want it washed. Or their orange peeled. Or the pineapple and mango peeled, cut to pieces and put into a plastic bowl with a little plastic fork, to eat in the train/bus/metro station. Making a fruit salad is a lot of work. Anyone who can offer this in a container designed for convenient eating will have success.
The most important things in the implementation phase are installing running water to these street kiosks and supplying them with a constant flow of fresh fruit. Besides this, the facility would operate like any other food kiosk.
I am sure that word of this idea would catch on and spread because it is totally new to the Romanian consumers - and it responds to an acute need that people have, of a healthy fruit snack to energize their day!

[...] On BusinessIDEAS.ro, we have previously proposed fruit kiosks for people on the run, organic produce stands, and supply chains for fresh produce. “Fruterias” are a similar business that is obviously very successful elsewhere, made possible by good supply chaining. [...]

[...] Clarisa and Laurentiu were writing about the need for similar businesses in Bucharest earlier - delivery salads and fresh fruit stands. I think that the supermarket approach to distribution is very well suited to city business centers, as it offers people the choice of ready-made healthy food in the place where they do usually shop for lunch anyway. Every time someone in a supermarket buying a loaf of bread and a couple of slices of cheese for lunch, that person could instead be selecting one from a couple dozen varieties of ready-made sandwiches.
