Enjoy washing glasses?………the fun is over
Opportunity: optimizing bar operations
It is always fun to go to a bar. People get immersed in a nice atmosphere with good friends.
A complete infrastructure must be in place for this to happen, from fridges and icemakers to good service. Some tools and resources have been developed to optimize the supply chain in the bar operations allowing waitresses and bartenders to focus on what really is important.
In the traditional bar operations model, glasses are picked from the tables and left in a bin with the used silverware and plates. Somebody takes that bin to the kitchen where everything is washed and prepared to be used again. In order to take this preoccupation away from the people allowing them to focus 100% on the service, there are some “conveyor glass washing machines†out in the market.
To incorporate this machine to the bar operations is pretty simple. The waitress put the glasses at one end of the conveyor, the machines internally washes and dries the glasses returning them clean and ready to be used, saving time and reducing the glass inventory. This piece of equipment should help the bar operation, making them optimize their process allowing them to focus on service and their core activities.

can you buy this stuff in Romania? Is there any company that imports them?

Hi, I haven’t looked too much at local distributors, but not seeing that machine at local bars makes me think that nobody is bringing it. Maybe a good opportunity is to start importing it, or manufacturing it here.

Do you happen to know how much would it cost? To buy it? Maybe that’s why nobody has is in Romania…or there are to many “dish washers” available..although as far as I knew all the Romanian dish washers were exported…but maybe there are still some working there

The list price is US$6,000. I guess you can get it for a lot less. I hope that helps.
