Opportunity: Online shopping for business clothes
On a previous post, I tried to give you an insight on the market for women’s business clothing in Bucharest. Given the fact that these career women don’t have the time to spend entire afternoons going shopping without having any guarantee that they would find what they are looking for, a new opportunity arises.
An online store, with a wide variety of choices in terms of business clothes (and beyond), would definitely answer to the needs these women have. In Romania, the online stores are weakly represented. With the exception of Tara, there are no significant competitors on the market. What do professional women expect from a clothing store, whether it is online or not? Women want to be dazzled with options, to find everything in one place, from grey sweaters to pink coats. They need easy payment and fast delivery. And, more important, they are looking to find clothes that suit them perfectly.
A potential investor could easily answer these questions – thus, the satisfied clients can turn successfully into loyal customers. Moreover, the clients could benefit from the help of an online consultant who could make suggestions – in an online chat – in the selection process. Based on the size, height, weight, or even a picture of the potential customer, the consultant could give advice on the colors, models and accessories that would best suit the client.
Is it worth the investment? Every lei/dollar/euro is well-spent that ends with a happy career women…

Tara looks like a good intention, but not a competitor for another site focusing on career clothing. Also, they offer only pictures from one angle only, difficult-to-understand details on materials used and no ‘texture detail’ pictures. These are all important decision factors!

Because it is a huge market segment that is rarely considered or is stereotypically targeted. Plus, stores for women are very poorly represented online. The subsequent time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, however I really thought youd have something interesting to say.
