can you get cheap solar panels for your house?

I guess that the future will be pretty much green communities where defined sectors will receive energy due to alternative energy appliances such as wind turbines and solar panels. The cost would decrease if a whole community chip in and bought altogether solar panels, storing and sharing extra produced power. It would be like sort of little islands where a community shares their energy source. Nice post Laura, will recommend it. Cheers
