Opportunity: gift shop with only traditional Romanian products

Why such a gift shop? Well, traditional objects are the favourite gift for most of the Romanians going abroad, either on a business trip or to visit friends/family, and for the foreigners visiting Romania. A store that gathers all kinds of authentic products, from the traditional “tuica” and “palinca”, Romanian wines, to ceramics, or traditional clothes specific to the various regions would be a successful investment, especially in Bucharest. Tips on what to buy and how to package gifts to be offered to people from a certain culture would be a plus.

Until now, except for a few stores and the traditional fairs and exhibitions that take place ocasionally, the offer is limited - not to mention that the authenticity is not guaranteed. The existing stores - including an overpriced one at the Bucharest Airport and another at the Village Museum - are far from the city center, small and don’t offer a wide variety of choice. Taking into account the fact that there are more an more business people visiting Bucharest and more Romanians going abroad, why not take advantage of this opportunity?
