Opportunity: An EVENTS SITE fully equipped

Yesterday I tried to find some information on this month’s conferences (of course, by using the usual google search). The result: at least 12 web sites that offered different information on the same issue.

I started wondering why it had to take so much time and so much effort to find a list of events happening in Romania.

How would it be like if all the fairs, conferences, exhibitions and trainings in the country could be found in one place and only at a click away? Too good to be true…or not. Maybe for just a small fee all the companies organizing events could include their fair/trade show/conference/training on the site and, in this way, we could minimize the cost and time of the search.

And later on, when the website develops, a higher fee can be charged for giving people the opportunity of buying tickets for the conferences or fairs through the website.

Another key aspect of this site would be, I believe, its inclusion of the events published on the ministry sites for a better transparency, which doesn’t actually happen in Romania.

Some of the sites that contain an events database are: www.expozitii.ro (which contains contruction related information), www.util21.ro, www.evenimenteromexpo.ro (contains events orgnized by ROMEXPO) but they are incomplete.

Do you think that could work? Would you pay for these kind of services?
