Advertising in Gyms.

Opportunity : new place to advertise
My colleague Clarisa was talking in an earlier post about advertising on trash cans and pointed out the new spaces that advertising undertakes and I thought about advertising in gyms.
Putting ads in gyms on LCD screens can help reduce costs and they are fun to watch if combined with other video clips like: extreme sports clips, followed by a commercial of Gatorade, an ad for Vodafone, just for laughs clips etc… The last one only in cardio sections, you don’t want a man with 120 kilograms of weight above his head bursting into laughter…
It would give bodybuilders something to watch while drawing their breath.
Also exposure in gyms is quite high, not as high as TV or Radio but definitely not that expensive. Another idea would be to act as an intermediary between a portfolio of clients and gyms, offering them hardware solutions on how to implement this type of advertising and also providing the ads beneficiaries. Like Elevate, a company that advertises in elevators or Oops Media, in restrooms.
Think this would work?

Gyms are ok to advertise but the exposure is not that high….and there is also the aspect of client’s willingness to watch for at least one hour (the time that they ussually spend there) videoclips and commercials …maybe some just want to go there and do their excercises.
